McKinley Medical operates a one-on-one SMS messaging program for appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, telehealth visit questions, technical setup support, conversational responses from our office and providers, and administrative follow-up related to your care. This program is not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

You can opt in by: (1) Texting 904-658-1114 - your first message constitutes opt-in. (2) Checking the SMS consent box on our patient intake forms. (3) Verbally confirming SMS consent when providing your mobile number. (4) Submitting a contact or appointment form at mckinley-medical.com that includes the SMS consent checkbox.

McKinley Medical does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your mobile phone number or SMS communications to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share only with service providers operating our messaging program under written protective agreements, as required by law, or for your care with your authorization.

  1. HIPAA and Protected Health Information

McKinley Medical is a HIPAA-regulated provider. Health-related SMS content is Protected Health Information governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices. Standard SMS is not fully encrypted - for sensitive communications please use our secure patient portal.

  1. Carriers Supported

AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket, and Google Fi. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the parent or legal guardian of a McKinley Medical patient, to opt in to SMS messages.

  1. Changes to This Policy

The current version is always available at mckinley-medical.com/sms-policy. Material changes will be communicated via SMS or other reasonable means.
